Sunday Streets

An interesting article on creating public space by banning vehicle traffic for a short time. Hot stuff in South America. I imagine for Spokane it could be a combined Spokefest, Farmer's Market, River Cleanup, Fun Run, and Skateboard affair.

Ciclovia would be GREAT for Spokane. I envision us moving it around to different business districts so people are drawn to parts of town outside their own neighborhoods. Perry District one weekend, Garland another.

Take back the streets. We all paid for them.
