I didn't even know how to talk about it until you so eloquently defined it, but I have been using the "accumulated work theory" for quite some time to manage my honey-do list because just as it can never grow too short, it is also against all laws of nature for it to grow too long and the AWT allows me some semblance of control over what shows up on said list. (Until she stumbles across what I have just written. And then I am toast.)
I'll be sure to send flowers and a card. :-)
