This is Taylor. She is my sister's granddaughter which makes me a great uncle. Hmmmm....Great Uncle Hank. That has a nice ring to it.
When you don't have young children in your house for a long time you quickly learn just how unchildproof your house is when one is turned loose. A benefit of Taylor's stay is that we have adjusted accordingly so you hear, "Thank you for finding that for me," less frequently each passing day.
Taylor's vocabulary consists of phrases like "ya-digga-digga-digga-digga" and "bop-pop-pop-pop-pop-bah-bah-pop" and other cheerful expressions with which she conveys her happiness with her surroundings. Her laughter and squeals of delight at being chased outweigh the discomfort of crawling on hands and knees on the hard floor. She's a real sweetheart and a lot of fun--except when she doesn't get her way...
...and then she has to teach her great uncle Hank a lesson.
