Kathy needed to run 18 miles today for her marathon training. I dropped her off at the Barker Road trail head and then parked by Krispy Kreme. From there I rode out to meet her. I cruised up and down the trail, surprised to see how many people were running and riding in the cold wind.
Kathy had a rough 19 miles--yeah, she went a mile too far--but she hung in there like the trooper she is. I got 2-1/2 hours of saddle time in. I'm not nearly as sore and tired as my marathonic wife. The bike is so much easier on the body than running. I'm doing the 25k River Run next Sunday and haven't trained much for it so I'll get mine.

Good luck at river run 25k. I will be out of town or else I would be joining you.
I kind of think parking at Krispy Kremeis kind of quirky. In a good way of course.
25k on a bike should not be much of a problem. What could make it too challenging except for cold, or wind, or hills or rain. Piece-O-Cake
Sorry for the confusion. The 25k River Run is a run, not a ride.
